since upgrading my ThinkPad 570 to Win2K, i've found that some PCCards
that worked under WinNT no longer work.

for SmartMedia (SSFDC) readers:

DOESN'T WORK:

- MicroTech Int'l SSFDC/ADP128
  http://www.microtechint.com/qs-sma.html

  worked fine under WinNT, supports 3.3V/5V PCCard slots, and doesn't
  require installation of a driver (uses the standard PCCard ATA
  driver).  doesn't work for me under Win2K - i've tried various SSFDC
  cards of various sizes from various manufacturers (Olympus, Viking).

DOES WORK:

- Ratoc Systems SMA01U

  supports only 5V PCCard slots.  requires installation of both a
  driver and a monitor application.
